NCAA Division I

NCAA Division I is the highest level of college hockey in the United States. There are 60 teams in Division I, and they are divided into two conferences: the Hockey East Association and the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).

The Hockey East Association is made up of 11 teams from the Northeast United States, including Boston College, Boston University, and the University of New Hampshire.
