England manager Gareth Southgate will hold a news conference on Thursday to announce his final squad for Euro 2024. Southgate spoke from the heart in an emotional post-match interview after leading England to a 2-0 win over Germany in the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup.
The Three Lions boss praised his players for their resilience and determination, but he also admitted that he was "gutted" for those who missed out on the squad. Southgate said: "It's always a difficult decision to make, but I have to pick the players who I think will give us the best chance of winning the tournament."
England will face Italy, Ukraine, and North Macedonia in Group C at Euro 2024. The tournament will be played in Germany from June 14 to July 14.
